How can I check what I have on loan and when it is due back?

All library borrowers have a library record that provides details of what is out on loan to them and when it is due back. To do this:

You are able to renew the items, if there is not a HOLD displayed next to it. This means that another user has requested the item. If there is a HOLD you are required to return the item by the due date.

If you do not return the item by the due date you may accure penalty points. The Library does not charge fines for overdue material that is on loan. A penalty point system is used instead.
The number of penalty points for an overdue item = one point per day per item.

The number of penalty points for an item on Hold that has been recalled = three points per day.

View your Reading History

In your MY LIBRARY record you are able to keep track of all the titles you have previously checked out, by selecting to keep My Reading History.

My Reading History dosen't begin gathering what you have had out on loan automatically. You must activate it by chosing to Opt In. Similarly, choose to Opt Out if you want to turn it off.

Remember that My Reading History will only gather loan data from the time you have opted in and after you have returned an item you have borrowed to the library.

You can also manage your Reading History list by choosing to selectively Delete some or all of the listed titles.

WARNING: Deakin University Library is required to provide details of your reading history to law and security services upon request. If you do not want your reading history to be divulged to third parties then do not Opt In.
