Role:

The University Librarian is responsible for leading and managing the University Library and providing high quality and customer focused library services to staff and students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, direct and manage the services and resources of the University Library to ensure they meet the University’s objectives and targets.
• Provide strategic guidance and high level policy advice to the Vice-President (Academic and Information Services) on all matters relating to the Library’s operations and its future directions.
• Lead, manage and ensure the professional development of Library staff.
• Manage the operational units which are responsible for access and information resources and library services.
• Coordinate and prioritise the provision of services and quality assurance of all aspects of the library’s work.
• Ensure the implementation of all relevant University policies and plans, in particular those relating to equal opportunity, OH&S, staff development and staff performance, planning and review.
