Role:

To ensure excellent information services to a designated area by managing and leading a liaison team to achieve quality customer-centred services and resources to support the learning, teaching and research programs of the University. The aim of the liaison program is to ensure the fulfillment of customer needs for information services and resources by maintaining a high level of awareness and knowledge of University, Faculty and School goals, programs and issues as well as relevant subject knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the provision and continual development of information services to ensure their relevancy to the teaching, learning and research needs of the Faculty of Arts.
  • Collaborate with academics and other Learning Services staff on the development of information literacy models and strategies to meet staff and studnet needs, in a flexible learning environments, across the University.
  • Develop and manage the Library's print and on-line collection for the Faculty of Arts at all campuses, with input and collaboration from academic staff.
  • Manage the provision of reference services at the Geelong campus at Waurn Ponds.
  • Ensure the implementation of all relevant university policies, in particular those relating to staff development, staff performance planning and review, occupational health & safety, and equal opportunity.
