Deakin University Library

Information for...

DeakinPrime students and staff

  • DeakinPrime students who are studying a Higher Education program should be enrolled as a Deakin University student and have a Deakin Card, and are therefore entitled to access and borrow the same resources as other Deakin University students in the same category
  • DeakinPrime students who are studying a VET program will need to join the library as a community member
  • DeakinPrime staff can access and borrow the same resources as Deakin University staff.

Gap Year students

If you have been accepted into the Deakin University Gap Year program then you are eligible to access library resources:

  • If you have also enrolled in a Deakin University unit, then you will automatically be able to borrow and access the same library resources as Deakin University undergraduates
  • If you have not enrolled in a Deakin University unit but you are interested in borrowing from our collection, you will need to join the Library as a Gap Year Library borrower through our community membership.

Deakin University English Language Institute (DUELI)

  • DUELI students can access and borrow library material with your Deakin card, password and username
  • Most of our services are available including electronic resources, intercampus loans, and BONUS+
  • The Interlibrary Loan service, CAVAL and ULANZ borrowing schemes aren't available to DUELI students due to the short duration of courses.

Non-award students

Non-award means a unit of study that does not directly lead to a degree.

  • Non-award students can access and borrow the same Library services and resources as other Deakin students, except that items will not be sent to students living overseas
  • Interlibrary Loan and BONUS+ aren't available to non-award students.
