My Library

My Library is your personal library account which lets you:

• Renew loans
• Cancel or freeze holds (requested items)
• Save Preferred Searches for easy reference and searching
• Opt In to My Reading History to view items you have had on loan
• Ensure your address and email details are correct
• Check if you have any overdue points or have been blocked from borrowing.

Student rovers

• Student rovers are available at all campus libraries at peak times to assist with general library and technical inquiries
• Rovers are current Deakin University students. If they can't help you with your query they'll refer you to the most appropriate library, eSolutions or other University staff
• When you are in the Library, look out for the student rovers in their red I'm here to help shirts
• Vacancies are advertised through the University JobShop.

Library Resource Guides

Library Resource Guides link you to information sources most relevant to your specific study and research interests.

• You can find a Library Resource Guide for your subject area
• Library Resource Guides have been developed by faculty Liaison Librarians and focus on the information resources available for particular subject areas
• Library Resource Guides can include recommended databases, journals, books and websites relevant to your subject. You might also find references, statistics or specific unit help for units you're studying.

Look after your stuff

When you are on campus, it's important to look after your own belongings such as laptops, ipads, ipods, mobiles, keys and even textbooks.

• If you do lose something when you're in the Library you can check with us whether it's been handed in as lost property
• You may also have to check with Deakin Central or Security
• Don't leave your stuff unattended for any length of time
• Remember to remove your USBs from computers and unplug your own chargers and cables when you leave.
