Library skills training

The Library offers training to students to help them improve their information research skills. This training can be delivered in a variety of ways including, but not restricted to:

Presentations and workshops

  • A short presentation during one of your lectures demonstrating relevant library information resources.
  • Workshops during which students are given hands-on experience with searching for and evaluating information. Students are shown how to navigate relevant subject-specific resources including electronic databases and resources on the Web.

All sessions may be tailored to specific units or forthcoming assignments.

Online support

  • Creation of online guides and tutorials in a range of formats that can be embedded into your CloudDeakin unit.
  • Designed to help students find resources for specific subjects and assignments.
  • Formats may include narrated powerpoints, recorded eLive sessions and short video clips.

Please contact your Liaison Librarian to discuss how we can enhance your students' learning experience.
