Understanding journal databases
 

One way to find information is to use databases.

What sort of information is contained in databases?

  • lists of journal articles, book chapters, book reviews, dissertations or theses, conference papers, etc.

How is the information presented?

The lists of material generally contain the following information about each item:

  • author
  • title of article or book chapter
  • title of journal or book
  • journal volume and number
  • date of publication
  • pages
