What is an emergency?
Unfortunately events that are sometimes out of your control may impact your life, leaving you in an emergency situation. Your housing is one of the things often affected during a time of crisis. If you find yourself experiencing a housing crisis and are in need of emergency or short term accommodation, the Off-Campus Housing Service may be able to assist. Depending on your needs and situation, the service can assist you with securing supported emergency accommodation or a short term accommodation option.
You may find yourself needing emergency accommodation for any of the following reasons:
- Financial Difficulties
- Short-term homelessness
- Family and/or relationship problems
- Domestic Violence
If you find yourself in any of these situations or requiring emergency accommodation for any other reason, we urge you to Contact a Housing Officer for further assistance.
Remember - the quicker you engage us the faster we can find you somewhere to stay.
Once you make contact the Housing Officer will set about identifying suitable options and organise temporary housing. After your immediate needs are resolved, the Housing Officer will work with you to find suitable long term accommodation.
