Join Deakin's busiest campus, set in a leafy suburb just a 30-minute drive from the Melbourne CBD, with lots to do, see and explore. Home to over 1100 students, Deakin Res offers a great mix of state-of-the-art, contemporary student housing.

Geelong Waurn Ponds

With the surfcoast and CBD only a 15-minute drive away, you will never be too far from the action. Join over 1070 students living in our contemporary campus townhouses, units and apartments.

Geelong Waterfront

Study and live in the heart of Geelong, moments from the spectacular Eastern Beach and Geelong CBD. Brougham House offers 410 rooms across shared apartments, while studio apartments are available at T&G House.

Warrnambool

Enjoy scenic coastal living and immerse yourself in a friendly, close-knit regional community. Over 250 student apartments and shared houses are available on campus, metres from Hopkins River.

Stay at Deakin

Our on-campus accommodation isn't just for students. We welcome academics, school groups, families and individuals to stay with us all year round at any of our campuses. Whether you're staying for a night, a week or a month, we've got a room to suit your needs, including a range of amenities specifically for guests staying on campus. If you're an international student, we recommend that you stay in short-term accommodation for at least the first week of your arrival while you look for long-term accommodation.

Off-campus accommodation

Finding your own accommodation off campus is a great way to immerse yourself in the local community. Deakin’s Houseme website provides a database of local rooms, houses and apartments available to rent, near to each campus. We also have an off-campus housing service that can help you with using Houseme, filling out rental application forms, understanding your rights and responsibilities as a tenant and more. If you're an international student wanting to live off campus, you should only start looking for accommodation once you’ve arrived in Victoria.

Homestay

Homestay – staying with a local family in their home – is a great way to immerse yourself in Australian culture and the community while improving your English skills. You and your host decide how long you stay and fees are paid directly to your host prior to arrival.
