Getting started at university is a fun and exciting experience, but it's not without its challenges. That's why we lend a hand, helping you find somewhere great to live, scope out the societies you'd like to join and discover your campus' best local spots to shop and eat.
Your library... more than just books
Deakin's libraries are open seven days a week in Trimester 1 and 2. They offer audiovisual rooms, photocopying, printing and scanning services and free WiFi.
Whether you'd like to live on or off campus, with other students or on your own, we can help you find a perfect place to call home.
Clubs and societies
Step away from the textbooks and get social with any one of the great clubs and societies at Deakin. From sports and social clubs to academic, cultural and religious societies, we've got something for everyone.
Where to eat
Check out the best places to eat around campus. Whether it's for breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks, there are plenty of great places to choose from, catering for everyone including vegetarians and those on special diets.
We make shopping straightforward, with all our campuses kitted out with a range of amenities for purchase. Many of our campuses also have off-campus shops nearby.
Sport and gyms
We have great sporting facilities across our campuses including gyms, fitness classes, basketball courts and sports ovals with pavilions.
For students and staff who drive to campus, we have parking facilities available. Most campuses also have visitor parking available.
Books and merchandise
All of our campuses have bookshops and merchadise stores, meaning you won't need to go far to find course material or Deakin-branded swag.
What all Deakin students need to know
Let Deakin help you even further with finding a job, student finances, joining a club, getting involved at uni, disability support or event health services.
