Deakin University Student Association (DUSA)
DUSA is your voice at university, they are your student association, run by students for the students. DUSA is a community with services for all students; they operate a network of clubs and societies, advocacy services, welfare, events, sporting programs, trips and short courses so you can get the most out of University life.
Become a DUSA member to access a range of membership benefits including discounts, events and the DUSA membership package. You will be helping the association continue to do what it does best: providing support for you and your fellow students while you study.
What does DUSA do?
DUSA ensures Deakin students are provided with a range of opportunities, activities and services to help you achieve your personal and academic goals.
By being a part of DUSA, it means you will the have the security of knowing there is someone looking out for you and putting your interests first. Free advocacy service, welfare – survival centre, scholarships, transport assistance programs and links to a legal service are some of the many ways DUSA looks out for Deakin students.
DUSA also encourages Deakin students to apply for positions on the student council and strives to empower students to create social and environmental change within their campus.

Located on campus and online in Burwood, Geelong and Warrnambool, the DUSA Bookshop is your one-stop-shop for affordable textbooks and general items. You can purchase stationery, course equipment like lab coats or nursing packs. Or top up your Myki, buy general books, travel books, confectionery, gifts and more. Did you know? Purchasing items at the DUSA Bookshops like textbooks funds DUSA services like the scholarship Program and student representation.

Women’s rooms exist across all campuses and are a place for female-identifying and gender non-conforming students to relax, socialise and study in a welcoming and supportive environment. And queer rooms exist in Burwood and Waurn Ponds designed to foster a sense of community for queer-identifying students.
