Student stories

Deakin students come in all shapes and sizes, from different cultural, language and social backgrounds. Some are local while others have travelled a long way to get here. Each has a passion, and has chosen Deakin as the pathway to achieving their career dreams. Share in their experiences and stories.

Some are mature age or studying while working or taking care of families. Others are fresh out of school and have just embarked on their tertiary education journey. They live in cities and in regional areas, on farms and in the suburbs.

Some drive to campus, others walk or cycle, jump on a train or a tram. Many prefer the flexibility of studying online, at times that suit their busy schedules – day or night, weekday or weekend. All have a story to inspire others, and they may even help you make your own course and career decisions.
