How to apply for accommodation
Applying for on-campus accommodation at Deakin is easy, but there are a few things you should know first about how the process works. That way, you'll have the best chance of successfully snagging a spot.
Accommodation offers for new domestic, international, and DUELI students are made in conjunction with the release of University course offers. That's why it's important that you apply before you know whether you've been accepted into a Deakin course.
Do I have to apply before I know if I've been accepted into a Deakin course?
There's a great deal of competition for places, so it's best to submit an application early to avoid disappointment. Very few late offers are made. In fact, the timeliness of your application is one of the criteria used when assessing applications.
Who can live on campus?
You must be studying full time to be eligible to live on campus at Deakin.
If you are already living on campus and change your enrolment status from full to part time, you must notify the General Manager within two working days of submitting the enrolment variation form to your faculty. In some circumstances, continued residency for students with a part-time study load may be approved.
