Our rooms at a glance

We offer a range of both single-gender and mixed-gender accommodation options, with multicultural residents from across Australia and the world.

At Burwood you can:

  • live by yourself in a studio apartment room
  • live with one other person in a two-bedroom studio apartment
  • live with other people in a four-, five- or six-bedroom shared apartment
  • live with other people in a 10-bedroom shared unit.

You’ll have your own furnished private bedroom and free internet access with whichever option you choose.

Studio apartment

You'll have your own bathroom and kitchen area in one of our studio apartment rooms, as well as a king single bed, built-in wardrobe and study area.

There are around 200 studio apartments in our dedicated residential building. While you'll get to enjoy your own space, you'll never be far from the on-campus community.

Two-bedroom studio apartment

Coming in 2017, each single gender two-bedroom apartment will feature private bedrooms and study spaces with a shared kitchen, bathroom and lounge.

Shared apartment

Shared apartments come in four-, five- or six-bedroom varieties. Each room has a king single bed, a built-in wardrobe and a study area. You'll share the apartment's lounge-room, kitchen, dining area, bathroom and laundry with your flatmates.

Shared units

Our shared units each include 10 bedrooms and shared living spaces.

You'll have your own bedroom, with a study area, single bed and built-in wardrobe. The lounge room, kitchen, bathroom and laundry are shared with the other students living in the unit.

Deciding on the right room

This is purely a personal decision. As a general rule the shared accommodation is more social as you use the same kitchen, lounge and dining area as the other students in your unit. This will ensure you are interacting with your peers.

Self-contained apartments/units allow you to cook in your own kitchenette and watch TV in seclusion, however there are also communal kitchens in the buildings and 'breakout' areas to study and relax. These are good options for when you wish to be with your peers.
