Student Address Data can be extracted from Callista or used from any other Microsoft compatible source for personalised letter printing. The Address Data is cleansed to remove any duplicates, obvious misalignment of Fields and incorrect Postcodes. Once this is completed the appropriate labels can then be formatted and printed. Where there is a formatted letter to be sent the Address Data can be merged to personalise the letter to each student. The Mail Services Centre can arrange for the printing of the formatted letters, other form letters and simple black and white flyers. Databases, form/formatted letters and Flyers can be sent to the Packaging Centre electronically as email attachments or in the case of papers through the internal mail service. This service can be used in conjunction with the Letter Folding, Enveloping and Mailing service to enable distribution of information to students.
Any size or quantity of material can be collated and distributed. Materials can be sent in a variety of packaging including envelopes of any size, shrinkwrapped packages or boxed items Examples of materials that are currently processed through this service include Open Day literature, Student Offer packs, Bulk distribution of Handbooks to schools and Distance Education Learning Toolkits.
With this service bundles of materials or items can be sealed within a clear PVC film pocket, to which heat can be applied to cause the film to shrink around its contents. The application of heat to the sealed package allows the PVC to shrink and provide a waterproof and protective physical barrier to external damage. The benefit of shrinkwrapping lays in its ability to include separate items of varying sizes, including paper, videos, CD-ROMs and cassettes.
This service provides a letter inserter and bulk mailing facility for
letters, surveys, multiple brochures and flyers, return envelopes
or information
cards. The Inserter operation is capable of inserting and sealing
up to 2,500 single
page items per hour and has a capacity of up to 3 feed trays and
1 insert tray. There is also the capacity to insert smaller numbers of
materials
into C5 (half
A4) window faced envelopes.
