Sponsorship
Deakin University will consider sponsorship support for events, activities
and organisations in its internal and local communities and beyond that offer
opportunities to communicate Deakin's key messages and themes, to demonstrate community
partnerships and to market university programs and services. The sponsorship program aims to achieve a balance between educational, social
and cultural programs that benefit the University's local and broader communities.
Sponsorship support for individual, organisational, team, event or program
proposals will be considered when the right to use that event or program to promote Deakin University's name,
image and services is available.
Priority will be given to sponsorships that advance the University's Strategic
Plan, demonstrate strong community values and generally relate to:
- Community benefit
- Community partnership
- Market advantage
Guidelines for application
Deakin University will consider the support of any applicant requesting
sponsorship subject to the availability of funds and where the applicant
can demonstrate the following:
- That the request meets the broad criteria of University policy
- That the applicant demonstrates educational, social or cultural benefits
to University metropolitan, regional and rural communities
- That the initiatives reflect organisational core values
- That the proposals provide tangible, measurable benefits to the community
The University reserves the right to terminate any agreements (verbal or
written) that fail to meet agreed recognition/servicing commitments or
are improperly implemented, executed or managed.
