Areas of Expertise: Optometric education. How the eye grows after birth, and how this growth sometimes breaks down leaving individuals either short-sighted or long–sighted. The biological processes that occur in the eye, either resulting in, or from, the development of short-sightedness. The biology of the tough outer coating of the eye (the sclera). The clinical use of drugs to manage eye disease, including when, why and how we administer them, why we administer them in these ways, and what the drugs do once they have been administered.
