Media Relations

The Media Relations Unit is the bridge between the University and its various publics, profiling Deakin through newspapers, radio and television.

It identifies and promotes academic activity and achievements, as well as general events, to raise the profile and public awareness of the University.

Media Relations staff are a point of contact for journalists seeking expert comment. We constantly monitor activities at Deakin and alert journalists to potential stories.

Media staff maintain news content, including links to current media releases (follow the News and Events link from the Deakin homepage at www.deakin.edu.au/news) and all items for the News channel on the Deakin staff and student portal.
