Media Relations

The Media Relations Unit supports the University and its various stakeholders by profiling Deakin news in print, radio and television as well as through online and social media channels.

We identify, develop and distribute newsworthy stories about the University's key strengths, in areas such as research, teaching and learning, academic achievements and partnerships, to raise the profile and awareness of the University.

Media Relations staff are the main point of contact for journalists seeking expert comment; we also seek to proactively promote Deakin expert commentary and opinion to media channels.

Media Relations staff also maintain news content on Deakin's online newsroom, while monitoring Deakin's media presence.
