The pedagogy of Motion Capture at the Deakin Motion.Lab is project-based and practical. The lab provides a unique learning environment in which students can not only learn the techniques and uses of motion capture, but also develop collaborative, interdisciplinary working practices that span the creative & digital arts and information technology disciplines, and be individually encouraged and challenged to work to their full potential.
The Deakin Motion.Lab invites collaborations with other educational institutions within Australia and internationally. Collaborations can take the form of tailored short courses, joint research or performance projects or exchanges.

Deakin University offers motion capture sequences and projects within a number of undergraduate degree programs. There are also opportunities for postgraduate students to undertake MA Coursework, and MA or PhD by Research.
