7UP Commercial - Dancing Penguin
The Deakin Motion.Lab was contracted by Alt.vfx to provide the motion capture data for 7UP's newest commercial, a dance-off between Bollywood star Sharman Joshi and a virtual penguin. The role of the penguin was choreographed and performed by Simon Lind, known for his performance as the lead penguin in Happy Feet – Mumble.
Alt.vfx wins Gold Mobius award for "Nocturnal Migration"
Alt.vfx takes home the First Place Golden Statuette (Visual Effects/Television) in the 2011 Mobius Awards, for their "Nocturnal Migration" commercial. The clever use of motion capture technology mixed with live-action footage of deer roaming the streets of Auckland, has become a worldwide smash hit.
