2010 Richard Searby Oration

Deakin University hosted the annual Richard Searby Oration on Tuesday 21 September at the State Library of Victoria.

The Hon. Marilyn Warren AC, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Victoria, delivered the oration on 'The Obligation to Communicate: the Interaction Between Language and the Law'.

The Richard Searby Oration has become a significant annual event on the Deakin University calendar and marks the contribution made by Dr Richard Searby AO QC as Chancellor of Deakin University from 1997 to 2005.
