This thriving campus is Deakin’s largest and attracts 17 000 undergraduate and  postgraduate on-campus students. It boasts open and inviting spaces for socialising and studying, innovative architecture, spacious new buildings and wireless locations.

Features include the Deakin University Art Gallery, and the Deakin Motion.Lab – motion capture facility.

The Melbourne Burwood Campus has a modern gymnasium, food court, restaurants and bar, internet cafe, retail shops, a medical centre and a childcare centre.

Elgar Road precinct

A most recent addition to the Melbourne Burwood Campus is the Elgar Road precinct. Contemporary buildings and landscaping are home to Deakin’s business schools and the International Centre.

The Learning Space: Building H, level 1

Visit Deakin’s new innovative learning centre. Hear from current Deakin students about some of the activities and services on offer within 'The Learning Space' to help you succeed in your studies. Open 12–3 pm on Open Day.

Deakin University Art Gallery

During Open Day, the Deakin University Art Gallery will display Discovery, an exhibition of recent work by Deakin University honours and PhD candidates from the School of Communication and Creative Arts.

Deakin YMCA offers a range of team and individual sporting opportunities in the state-of-the-art sports hall. Visit Deakin YMCA (Building HE, adjacent to the lower level of the multilevel car park) on Open Day to check out the full range of health, fitness and sport and recreation opportunities available.
