Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB)

CCMB conducts research involving cellular and molecular biology.
Come and take a tour through the research laboratories where research students will explain their work. In addition, there will be a demonstration using a confocal microscope, cell culture facilities and research equipment.

Science at Deakin offers you flexible study and transferable skills, and provides the option to study in broad or specialist areas.
The Bachelor of Science is an excellent generalist degree that gives you a thorough knowledge of contemporary science, providing the basis for diverse career outcomes. There are also specialist degrees available in areas such as Biomedical or Biological Science.

Biological Science develops an understanding of modern biology through the integrative study of genes, cells, organisms and communities.
Hear about the flexible units offered, diverse career options available and the opportunity to focus on electives such as animal and plant biology, physiology, cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology and evolutionary biology.
Fossils and rocks – tour of the Earth Science Museum

Come and take a tour of the history of life and earth guided by Professor Guang Shi. This unique collection documents the history of marine life over millions of years, and provides an insight into the geological past.
