How to get to Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus

Deakin’s Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus is located on the western edge of Geelong, 72 km south-west of Melbourne.

Travel by car

Travel by car from Melbourne takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes (Melway reference 464 J5).

Travel by train

V/Line trains run every hour on the hour from Southern Cross station starting from 9 am. Once you arrive at Geelong station, hop on the free Deakin Open Day shuttle bus to make your way to the Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus.

Open Day shuttle bus

On Sunday 21 August 2011 the Deakin University (DU) shuttle bus and the Gordon Institute of TAFE (GIT) shuttle bus will travel continuous loops between the Geelong railway station, Gordon Institute's Geelong Campus, Deakin's Geelong Waterfront Campus, Gordon Institute's East Geelong Campus and Deakin's Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus.
