As a Deakin student, you have access to a number of online facilities and services. In order to access these, you must obtain your Deakin username and password. Once your enrolment at your institution is confirmed, you can generate these by going to the following web site, clicking 'I'm a new student' and following the prompts. You will need to have ready your Deakin Student ID number, your date of birth, your Deakin course code, and the postcode for your institution.
Your Deakin username and password gives you access to many of the IT facilities at Deakin University. These resources are provided to assist you during your studies at Deakin, and include:-

Students are required to have a Deakin University email account. It is through this account that all messages will be sent to you. It is possible for you to redirect your University account to a private email account and it is your responsibility to make these arrangements and to keep the redirection up-to-date. The University and/or staff may contact you via your email account and you are encouraged to check your email regularly.

Please use your Deakin email address if you are contacting staff at Deakin University directly. Many staff use filtering software to cut down unwanted email - using your Deakin email address will ensure that your email is received by Deakin staff.
