About the Strategic Intelligence and Planning Unit
The role of the Strategic Intelligence and Planning Unit is to provide timely and accurate information to the University
for planning and managerial decision-making, administer key University surveys and coordinate compliance reporting activities. Our responsibilities include:
- Provision of management information to the University executive and faculties
- Student load planning
- Modelling, analysis and institutional research to support enrolment planning, budgeting, resource allocation
and related activities
- Coordination of Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR)
data collection
- Provision of advice and assistance on survey design and analysis
- Development of the Deakin Data Warehouse
- Provision of policy advice to the University community on legislation and policy related to higher education
administration and funding
- Provision of statistical information
