Ms Carli Renzi
Bachelor of Commerce with Honours (Finance) and Australian 52-57kg – Women’s Judo Olympic team member

After narrowly missing on out the Beijing 2008 Olympics Carli has expanded on her technique by cross training in wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu helping her to win the 2012 Oceania Championships. With her expanded repertoire Carli Renzi made her Olympic debut at London in 2012. We hope to see Carli in Rio in 2016 as she continues to build her judo profile on the international circuit.

Inheriting her father’s love of Judo Carli joined the sport aged seven. Not long after she was beating many of the boys in the mixed U/20kg division. In London Carli will throw, grapple and flip with the best Judo competitors in the world including Kaori Matsumoto.

Completing a Bachelor Commerce with Honours (Finance) opens up a world of possibilities for Carli including banking, brokering, credit analysis, insurance, international finance, risk management, securities analysis or treasury management. At Deakin University students have an option of undertaking a business internship program as part of this course, providing hands on experience.
