Mr Craig Mottram
Public Relations (Marketing) and Australian 5000m (athletics) Olympic team member

Craig Mottram competed in his fourth consecutive Olympic Games at the London 2012 Olympics in the 5000m Men’s long distance race. Impressively, Craig has been on the national team for 11 years, and has been named by Ron Clarke – a former Australian runner – as Australia’s best ever distance runner.

In the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, Craig placed 8th, his best ever placing in an Olympic event, despite a long recovery from chronic Achilles problems. Craig is a member of Deakin Athletics Club and has held the Australian record for the 1500m, 2000m, 3000m and 5000m. At the London 2012 Olympic Games, Mottram made it to the qualifiers, competing against some of the world’s best long distance runners.

Craig Mottram studied Public Relations (Marketing) at Deakin University, which is a diverse course that will allow him to pursue a career in commerce, government, community, education, health and welfare institutions including positions related to public affairs, corporate affairs, customer relations, media relations and publicity.
