Elizabeth Patrick was torch carrying the flame across Lake Burley Griffin with her Women’s Eights Rowing Team in the lead up to the 2008 Beijing Games. As Coxswain Elizabeth steered the Australian team to the finish line, making it to the finals in the London 2012 Olympics.

Coming in at 50kg and just 155cm tall Elizabeth has been the women’s eight coxswain since her debut in 2005, steering Australia to Gold in the World Championship and World Cup. After completing her Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise and Sport Science) at Deakin University Elizabeth continues to study, balancing learning with training.
