Mr Tom Gibson
Bachelor of Health Science (Sports Science), and Australian Olympic Athlete (rowing - lightweight double sculls)

Tom Gibson is a Tasmanian rower who came 10th in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games for lightweight double sculls. Tom has spent 10 years on the national rowing team, making him an experienced athlete who placed second this year at the final Olympic Qualification Regatta. In his second Olympics games in London 2012, Tom rowed in the lightweight double sculls once again. Tom and rowing partner, Roderick Chisholm, placed 13th overall in the competition, rowing against the best in the world.

In 2008 Tom completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Sports Science) at Deakin University. Tomís degree will allow him to continue to pursue a career in sport. The Bachelor of Health Science is a popular degree amongst Deakin elite athletes, and allows athletes to continue to pursue an academic and sporting career with their Elite Athlete Friendly University (EAFU) program.
