Biography summary

Researching in architecture sciences regarding IEQ (indoor environmental quality) measurement and evaluation.  As the former Director of the Mobile Architecture & Built Environment Laboratory (MABEL) over 40 buildings projects were measured between Darwin and Hobart, Brisbane and Melbourne.  These building performance evaluation and assessment methods are being applied to building retrofitting strategies for our existing building stock.  Progressive energy auditing methods through sub-metering and simulation are part of this research.  Expertise on façade performance evaluation is inclusive of permeability (air leakage) as well as energy transfer.  Overall, methods are being developed for ranking improvements towards building retrofitting, yielding a strategic and targeted approach.
