Research projects

Melanie currently undertakes sessional teaching and supervision in the psychology postgraduate programs at Deakin University, having completed her doctoral thesis at Deakin in 2008. Clinically she works primarily within a multidisiplinary chronic pain management team. She has conducted clinician training and facilitated youth mental health treatment groups with adolescents and families as part of her role on the Family Options projects over the last 5 years. Melanie's recent research has focused on developing and researching new treatment models for child and adolescent mental health problems, and evaluating chronic pain management treatment programs.
