Biography
Dr Saikat Sovan Deb is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Finance in Deakin Business School. Saikat teaches units in investments and empirical research methods. His research interests include empirical asset pricing and market microstructure.
Saikat completed his PhD in Finance from Monash University in 2008, Graduate Certificate of Higher Education in Deakin Univerisity in 2009, Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management from Institute Management Technology India in 2001 and Bachelor of Science in 1999.
Saikat has published his research in various international journals including, Journal of Banking of Finance, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal and Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money. He is also serving as the Director of Higher Degree by Research for Department of Finance since 2016.
