Biography
Dr Vicki Brown is a Senior Research Fellow within Deakin Health Economics (DHE) at Deakin University, Melbourne Australia and a member of the Global Centre for Preventive Health and Nutrition (GLOBE). Vicki’s research interests include the economics of chronic disease prevention, and she is the health economist on a number of childhood obesity intervention trials. Vicki was a key contributor to the National Health and Medical Research Council funded Centre of Research Excellence in Obesity Policy and Food Systems, and is a Chief Investigator on the Centre of Research Excellence in Translating the Early Prevention of Obesity in Childhood (CRE EPOCH-Translate). She is interested in the ways in which economic evaluation and priority-setting studies can better inform the decision-making process, and is involved in teaching in the Deakin University Master of Health Economics as Unit Chair of the Economics and Health Policy Analysis unit (HSH766).
