Application

Deakin’s application for DETC accreditation involved the submission of:

• a lengthy Self-Evaluation Report addressing a series of DETC Accreditation Standards
• a survey of over 200 off-campus students, and
• representative sets of course materials for analysis by external subject specialists.

Following analysis of these documents, an Examining Committee visited Deakin to assess the veracity of its self-evaluation and to seek answers to any further questions.

Drawn from other DETC-accredited institutions, members of DETC Examining Committees have relevant professional experience in both the academic and administrative provision of off-campus teaching and learning.
