WELCOME

The Integrative Health Research Unit is established within of the School of Psychology and Faculty of Health, Medicine, Nursing and Behavioural Sciences at Deakin University.

In conjunction with Deakin University and The Lewis Institute for Health and Wellbeing, the IHRU aims to be a world-recognised leader in both the conduct and application of clinical research into the nature and treatment of chronic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome.

The founders of the research unit are Dr Greg Tooley and Dr Daniel Lewis. Dr Tooley has extensive experience in the conduct of clinical trials of pharmacological and behavioural interventions in chronic illness. Dr Lewis is a consultant rheumatologist and founder of the The Lewis Institute for Health and Wellbeing
