Knowledge Media Division (KMD) has taken a leading role in developing quality standards and processes for the development and communication of content (including course materials content as well as promotional and administrative content) at Deakin University. KMD is responsible for the development and management of a quality framework which includes:

- legislative compliance, including copyright, accessibility (authentication required) and information privacy (authentication required)
KMD works closely with unit chairs to develop high quality course materials.
