Biosafety and genetic manipulation

Through the links on the left you can obtain information about Deakin University’s Laboratory and Biosafety Committee (LBC), administrative procedures for research involving genetically modified organisms and procedures and policies for safety in research and teaching. You should access the Teaching and Research Involving Genetic Manipulation link if you are involved in teaching and research that plans to introduce non-homolgous DNA into a host system (including Escherichia coli). You should access the Safety in Teaching and Research link if any of the following apply to your activities: chemical hazards, radiation hazards, biohazards, physical hazards and field trips.
