The following workshops are provided for the benefit of higher degree by research candidates. You are encouraged to attend any which are of interest. Places may be limited so it is advisable to register as soon as possible via the link provided. If you later find that you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your registration so that your place is made available to another student.
Description: As part of candidature all new HDR students are strongly encouraged to attend a Induction to new candidates workshop.

The session will cover a range of topics of interest to new candidates, such as:
- managing your candidature
- establishing an effective relationship with your supervisor
- useful sources of information and advice
- skill development opportunities
- scholarship matters
- ethics in research

Description: These workshops allow ECRs to discuss with candidates their own PhD experiences and, for example, how to manage crucial milestones in the final year. Workshops also provide an opportunity for the formation of support and mentoring groups if required.
