  • to inform reporting for current and future Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) initiatives and is thus critical for the University's research profile
  • the publication data is used internally to asses the performance (and therefore funding) of Strategic Research Centres (SRC), Institutes, Schools, and Faculties;
  • to determine the Research Active status of individuals
  • DRO also provides the opportunity for widespread public access via the Internet to your research publications wherever legally possible, increasing citations and the visibility of your work and contributing to the progress of global research

*The publications reported to HERDC are

    • research books (A1)
    • book chapters in research books (B1)
    • peer-reviewed journal articles (C1), and
