Optional Grantsmanship Reviews

For ARC and NHMRC applications.

During ARC or NHMRC application rounds, Deakin Research - Grants is responsible for:

• Providing resources to assist applicants
• Providing advice regarding applications and budgets
• Providing grantsmanship reviews for specific applicants**
• Reviewing budgets and budget justifications
• Undertaking final eligibility and compliance checking of applications

**From 2011 onwards, Deakin Research - Grants will only provide more intensive help (grantsmanship reviews) to the following specific applicants if they request it and they meet the advertised internal deadlines:

• Early Career Researchers (ECR)
• First Time Applicants (FTA) for a particular scheme
• Applicants whose application scored highly in a previous round

Faculties/Institutes and Strategic Research Centres (SRCs) are responsible for the calibre and quality of applications.  Applicants who do not meet the definitions listed above should liaise with their Faculty/Institute/SRC if they feel they require more intensive support.
