Discovery Projects 2012

Aim

Discovery Projects supports research undertaken by individual researchers or research teams and recognises the importance of fundamental research to the national innovation system.  The objectives of Discovery Projects are to:

  • support excellent fundamental research by individuals and teams;
  • enhance the scale and focus of research in the National Research Priorities;
  • expand Australia’s knowledge base and research capability;
  • encourage research and research training in high-quality research environments;
  • enhance international collaboration in research; and
  • foster the international competitiveness of Australian research.

Funding Amounts

Minimum $20,000 pa Maximum $500,000 pa.

External deadline - rejoinder must be submitted to Research Office by 9am

How to Submit a Rejoinder

1. Read the instructions on how to view assessments and submit rejoinders

2. Read your assessor reports and discuss these with team members

3. Read the Grants Office Advice on Rejoinders

4. Draft rejoinder and check it meets the criteria listed in the advice document

5. Ask an independent reader to proof read your response

6. Submit the rejoinder on RMS
