Future Fellowships 2013

The objectives of the Future Fellowships scheme are to:

• attract and retain outstanding mid-career researchers;
• build collaboration across industry and/or research institutions and/or disciplines;
• support research in national priorities across all disciplines that will result in economic, environmental, social, health and/or cultural benefits for Australia; and
• strengthen Australia’s research capacity by supporting innovative, internationally competitive research.

A Future Fellowship may be requested at one of three salary levels. An Administering Organisation may be awarded up to $50,000 of non-salary funding per annum which may be used for infrastructure, equipment, travel and relocation costs directly related to the Future Fellow’s research.

1. Read the Funding Rules 2013 and Instructions to Applicants 2013

2. Liaise with your Faculty/ SRC to gauge whether you have their support

3. Submit a Notice of Intent to Submit (NOIS) (38KB) (to your Faculty/SRC)

4. Submit eligibility request if applicable on RMS

5. Wait to see whether Grants Office invites your full application

6. Commence your online application on RMS

7. Work with your Case Manager and use templates provided

8. Organise relevant certification forms
