Aim |
The Central Research Grants Scheme provides funding for early- to mid-career Deakin University research staff to undertake high quality research projects.The scheme is intended for mature research projects of small to medium scale. Funding for CRGS projects is provided centrally but is run on behalf of Deakin Research by the Faculties and the Institute for Frontier Materials (IFM). Applicants who meet the eligibility requirements of the scheme but do not belong to a Faculty or the Institute for Frontier Materials should contact the Faculty/IFM which aligns most closely with their discipline. The relevant Faculty/IFM will assess their application as part of their process. It is up to applicants to liaise with the relevant Faculty/IFM in order to comply with relevant timelines and Faculty/IFM specific rules and requirements. New researchers who require seeding or priming funds should seek support from their Faculty, School or Institute.The scheme is designed to support research by Deakin academic staff. Support for higher degree by research, honours projects or scholarships is not available through this scheme. |

Funding Amounts |
Funding is available for 1 year only. Applicants should refer to the relevant Faculty/IFM rules to ascertain the range of funding. |
