VESKI Innovation Fellowships 2014/15


The VESKI innovation fellowships bring Australian expatriates and leading international researchers to Victoria.  Fellowships are aimed at researchers at any stage in their career who have outstanding skills in science and innovative technology, typically in the top three to five percent of their respective fields.  Internationally based researchers who are currently negotiating a position at Deakin University are strongly encouraged to apply for this scheme, providing they are domiciled outside of Australia at the time of submission.

Important Notes

Successful individuals can receive up to $50,000 per annum for up to 3 years.  This funding can be used for salary or other costs associated with the fellow’s research.

Mandatory Via ADR/SRC/Institute Director

ADR/SRC/Institute Director determine who will be supported and advise Grants Office by forwarding a completed and signed Notice of Intent to Submit form

    Invited applicants draft proposals    


27 October 2014

Fully complete applications due at Grants Office





How to Apply

1.Check if you are competitive

2. Read guidelines and application instructions

2. Liaise with the appropriate ADR/SRC/Institute Director

3. Submit a Notice of Intention to Submit to the ADR/SRC/Institute Director

4. ADR/SRC/Institute Director review NOIS and determine applications to support

5. Prepare the application if invited

6. Submit your application to Deakin Research for compliance check by internal deadline

Other Important Information

Further Information: To be eligible, applicants must have worked outside of Australian shores for the past 12 months and must be domiciled outside of Australia at the time of submission.
