IFM Research Conference 2013

What it's about

IFM's mission is to foster innovation and excellence in materials science and engineering research. This year our annual conference will open its doors to industry. IFM researchers will talk about the latest ground-breaking research in areas such as:

  • carbon fibres and composites
  • metals
  • nano-medicine
  • energy storage.

Industry partners will talk about their experiences working with IFM:

  • Ford Australia's Richard Taube will talk about 'Collaborating with Universities'
  • Craig Bonar from APA Group will discuss 'Cooperative research to extend the life of pipeline infrastructure.'

Students will present posters that highlight their industry related research.

With a diverse program, the conference will connect researchers and industry with new ideas in materials science and manufacturing technology.
