Chemical dying lab

Our laboratory dyeing equipment is set up in two rooms. It consists of

Dyeing Equipment

  • Rapid rotary dying machine 1
    • 24 pots per batch
    • 100, 200, 400 and 500 ml pot size
    • single set point temperature and gradient control
  • Rapid rotary dying machine 2
    • 8 pots per batch
    • 100, 200, 400 and 500 ml pot size
    • single set point temperature and gradient control
  • Fong rotary dying machine
    • 12 pots per batch
    • 200, 400 and 5000 ml pot size
    • single set point temperature and gradient control
  • SDL Atlas Maxwell mixing extruder
    • 12 pots per batch
    • 300 ml pot size
    • plc controlled temperature, gradient and hold

Padding Equipment

  • Rapid pad mangle
    • 300mm wide pad rollers
    • variable nip pressure
  • SDL Atlas laboratory padder

Drying Equipment

  • Rapid laboratory stenter
    • warp and weft tension
    • 400mm square maximum sample size

Spectrophotometric Equipment

  • Datacolor SF600 spectrophotometer
    • UV/VIS spectrophotometer for flat surfaces
    • 100, 200, 400 and 500 mm aperture size
    • DCI Match and QC Tools software
  • Varian Cary UV/VIS spectrophotometer
    • 180 - 800 nm working spectrum
    • cuvette holder
  • Oceanoptics USB4000 - UV/VIS spectrophotometer
    • fibre optic
    • optional light source
    • liquid or solid surface measurement
