Australian Automotive Week is a unique joint venture between the Victorian Government and the automotive industry. This annual event is Australia's premier showcase for the automotive industry.
In 2014, FRONTIER MATERIALS DEVELOPMENT FOR LIGHT WEIGHTING SEMINAR was held at Deakin University to showcase Victoria's R&D capabilities in lightweight materials including steel, carbon fibre and composites.
Professor Matthew Barnett's presentation, "LIGHT METALS IN CARS: BARRIERS AND OPPORTUNITIES" received praise and appreciation from international delegates and industry stakeholders.
