Research interests:
Filip Siska's research interests are related to finite element modelling of materials and structures. Research topics are focused on predictions of mechanical behaviour (stress/strain response, fracture and crack propagation) of polycrystals, composite materials and structures. He also works in the field of textural fractography and image analysis.
Qualifications:
- PhD, Material Science (Mines Paris, France - 2007)
- MEng, Physical Engineering ( CTU Prague, Czech Republic - 2003)
Relevant employment history:
- 2010 - present: Post-doc research fellow, Centre for Material and Fibre Innovation, Deakin University
- 2008 - 2010: Post-doc research fellow, Institute for Material Research II, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology
