Research interests:

- Corrosion protection for bipolar plates in PEMFC and micro-electronic materials
- Coating for biomaterials (Vascular stent)
- Corrosion performance of low alloy steels and magnesium alloys
- Flame-retarding additive electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries
- My current research focus includes "novel approaches to corrosion inhibition of steel in carbon dioxide containing environments". This expertise is being applied to the capture, transmission and storage of CO2 (a collaboration with CSIRO, and supported by the Alfred Deakin postdoctoral research fellowship 2012)
